During Q3 of 2010, Samsung now have almost a third of the total Android smartphone market in the US. An impressive 32.1% of Android handsets in the US are made by Samsung. This is an increase from 9.2% during Q4 2009. Much of which success is because of the Samsung Galaxy S, which can be adapted for the needs of every carrier. Samsung have also put a lot of their efforts into the Galaxy S, where as previously the company used to make 150+ handsets a year.

Samsung previously held a strong position in the Windows Mobile market and as well as continuing with Android, will also be focusing on Windows Phone 7 handsets, such as the Samsung Focus.
